Tic Toc Down The End As The Master Takes The Lead.

The world is quickly giving way to the future with every passing day and roaring storms that lineup the skies. Most people  believe that  their destinies are judged by fate and for that reason they often put their trust on those who can make predictions about what exactly holds out for them in the foreseeable future, a practice normally derived from the popular belief in the power of karma. For some millions of those with biblical insight living in these stormy times, however, what that future holds is no secret to them because they see each passing minute as an indicator of the time left being reduced and they use this remaining period wisely to sell their well founded ideas to anyone who will listen absolutely free of charge.

They are a formidable army of field workers intent on reaping the fields that lay white for harvesting, their sickles raised up, ready to thrust in among the grain of wheat, barley and a good number of other varieties  in order to fill the storehouses that will feed the new world. In this noble work they are not alone for they profess full support from their master who pledged his own personal vigilance when he first issued the reaping orders back in the day. However, the day has since gone by and the long night prior thereto looked overcast  with shadow but now the morning sparkle has begun to beckon over the millennial dawn as more and more harvest is brought into the barn.

Amid stormy weather and heady days that characterized most of their workweek, these group of workers have diligently put in a day’s wage worth of work and gladly added to their master’s joy as they continue in their harvesting assignment  without letup.Their goal is to reach every inch of the field belonging to the master and they know that in order to do this effectively they need to work hand in hand with their master’s thorough guidelines handbook that calls for invitation to all to partake in the work. The fields yet to be harvested are plenty but the time left of the daylight isn’t much even as they continue to receive alerts from their grand master to keep working until the night arrives.

Good news is that more and more recruits are happily joining in the work as everyone trains their eye on the interest of the master which is to avail a world free from malnutrition, hunger and disease and because he encourages all and one to take part as a team, these farm workers are receiving invaluable skills to improve their interpersonal relationships, encouragement to love one another and to work for the benefit of all without any risk of losing sight of the bigger picture namely ministering to the needs of the meek ones who are lined up to receive an inheritance from their master.

Indeed God is blessing the efforts of these obedient fellow workers who have given themselves willingly to the service commissioned by heaven itself.Jesus Christ was the primary one commissioned by heaven to bring about God’s grand purposes to a glorious finish  and he faithfully went ahead and fulfilled the mission needed to set the ball rolling in the earthly courtyards and fields of humanity occupied by teams appointed to take part in the tournament. As things stand ,the stage is now set for the tournament organizers to finally announce the outcome of the overall games and to crown the winners and to honor the players and all the spectators who lent their loving support to the various teams that took part in the sports.

This state of affairs has been heralded by the many signs and patterns that have marked the now famous period mentioned in the Bible as “the last days” which continue to rock the imaginations of those living upon the face of the earth with its many unusual features. But of course no one in the larger realm of mankind take cognizance of this as a harbinger of bad things to come or divine warning to people everywhere to beware the impending disaster upon the whole earth, except the  a few mentioned earlier.

The Apocalypse:Signs of Good Things Just Ahead!

The long standing prophecies of a time of great distress by  prophets of old such as Daniel,Jesus and others is fast approaching as conditions prevailing in the world at the moment all point to  an unmistakable conclusion.World conditions are going from bad to worse as the level of security   quickly deteriorates into  a state of lawlessness. All too often the victims are the most defenseless in society even as recent spate of violence and terror have revealed.

In Kenya for example, the graphic images of a band of terrorists storming a shopping mall and shooting dead innocent people are still very fresh in  the minds and hearts of many who watched it  from around the world .Ever since this incident nearly eight months ago, there have been reports of bombings and  series of grenade attacks hurled at packed crowds gathered in  market places, or standing at bus stations in the evenings,on passengers traveling home from work, worshipers attending Sunday sermons, and  even on innocent children caught up in the drama.

The Somali -based  militant  group Al Shaabab continues to claim responsibility for these attacks blaming the Kenyan government for alleged atrocities committed by its defense forces  whom they accuse of invading their country three years ago in October 2011.The government of Kenya on  the other hand justified its crossover into Somalia citing alleged kidnappings of tourists and foreign aid workers in Kenya and in response to the request by  the Transitional Federal Government of Somalia at the time.

While it’s certainly true that Al shabaab is directly or indirectly(through other terror networks collaborating with them) responsible for these acts of terror on the streets of Nairobi,Mombasa,Garissa and other towns in the northern corridor territory of the country, mostly the magnitude of attacks not just in terms of the collateral damage and death toll but also the frequency with which they have  been carried out is something that critics lay squarely on the lack of proper intelligence gathering by the government watchdog agency, corruption in the security docket and commitment to protecting  the lives and property of citizens by the government as enshrined in the constitution.

In the newly formed state of South Sudan,a war erupted between rebels and loyal forces over claims by the opposition of unfair dismissal of its leader, the former vice president Riek Machar and other prominent members of his Nuer tribe from the cabinet in July 2013 by President Salva Kiir who is from the Dinka tribe. This followed weeks of tension and division between the two camps amid claims by the President’s faction of  a preplanned coup by  Machar’s wing.Since the conflict began almost a year now, civilian casualties have risen exponentially. And this is technically, still just a minus on the overall statistics of the wider Sudan conflict since its genesis in the early 80s.

Going further afield in the west,in Nigeria, the  long standing menace of the homegrown terrorist group,Boko Haram, is now  a well documented case by the world’s major news media outfits and human rights groups alike. And in its most recent horrifying tale yet,the group has kidnapped up to an upwards of 200 school girls from Northern Nigeria where the gang has been unleashing  a number of untold evil on the  inhabitants for decades now. This latest episode has  sparked  an international outrage from child rights and academic advocacy groups to politicians and celebrities and from mainstream and social media campaigns to every other possible means available to compel the leaders of the militia to  release the girls immediately.

Of course these conflicts are not limited to the continent of Africa only even as long running battles between fighting factions, terrorist groups, nations and kingdoms continue to fulfill the sign offered by Christ when asked by his close associates way back in the first century  to explain what would characterize his presence which he had indicated  during an earlier occasion to occur at a future time together with its significance .A significant explanation for the widespread moral decadence is also alluded to by one of the prominent writers of the divine book who became an apostle of Jesus in the first century and foretold a marked change in human society in general.

In view of all these developments, any keen observer familiar with the Bible’s prophecies outlining the outworking of God’s purpose with regard to the earth ,mankind and the future is almost certain to find a logical connection between these and their significance. This is good news indeed to persons looking forward to a deliverance from the present state of captivity in a wicked world.Jehovah’s Witnesses are among Christians today cherishing such a hope and to this end they are working tirelessly to share this hope with their neighbors everywhere in the world while there’s still time to respond quickly to the warning given by God in advance of the seriousness of times we currently live in  and the impending gloom ahead.

Ultimately when that time arrives all people  now sighing and groaning due to the rampant suffering in the world will for the first time find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace under God’s newly established Kingdom. They will not recall  any former things into their minds neither will it come up into their hearts anymore because the Creator is making all wars and conflicts to cease from the ends of the earth to times indefinite. The invitation to all lovers of righteousness out there is “COME”.

The Frenzy Of School Opening Days

Few days are as frenetic as when schools reopen in mid summer in this part of the world.Colleges and Unis are especially frenzied when it comes to the second week of May as students mill around to make the last minute rush of registering classes and clearing fee balances carried over from previous quarter. The finance, registrar and library departments are beehives of activity;the welfare department of the student center is on hand to receive new students by extending an invitation to a freshers’ bash organized at an exclusive restaurant accessible by a free bus ride which will ferry them to and from campus at specified time.

The above word picture aptly illustrates the list of activities that will dominate events organized in the coming weeks that commenced today for many schools and colleges around the country but more so on private and public campuses that admit students at this time of year.It will prove to be one of the most fun and activity- filled moments in the lives of both freshers and continuing students. For some new students, however, this might also prove to be the toughest and bewildering time as they come to grips with the new reality of being in a strange place for the first time. Many will easily jell in quickly with the rest while others will tumble over countless pressures placed by the new environment.Usually this propensity toward disorientation is minimized by the efforts of orientation classes held a week or two prior to the opening week to familiarize new students with the various campus locations and activities, help groups and other utilities.

The first week of opening’s drama is usually never limited to first time students alone since even experienced scholars are caught up in the maze of activities that characterize the pristine hours of a semester. The result is usually a torrential downpour of workload to be conquered and swathes of milestones yet to be covered in terms of courses enrolled and paperwork conducted. This ranges from the amount of keystrokes and clicks performed at the registrar’s table to the countless number-crunching and cranking at the accounts clerk’s desk.At this time of semester, these are probably two of the most overworked departments on campus and it is not unusual to find staff in these departments working well past seven o’clock to cope with long queues of excited students.

Oftentimes as the week wears off it is expected that the amount of workload will progressively reduce and the levels of anxiety registered on staff and students’ faces will diminish with time  thus opening up a way for a happier lot as a community. In turn, this increases productivity  and enthusiasm among the employees with the same amount of energy expended in the classroom. However,as more and more weeks pass by it is not unusual for the campus mood to slacken off  a bit with students retreating to their recreational centers and staffs finding themselves with more time on their hand than they can handle. This humdrum usually stays for as long as there are no immediate danger warnings on the radar until the rains come and get everyone unawares and the time for mid semester tests arrives and all over sudden everyone makes friendship with the library shelves.

The mid term frenzy is cut short after a week or two with a rebounding effect that takes the majority of students to the depths of their lowest ebb and suddenly everything turns sluggishly purple.Actually most students try to beat the blues by retreating home for another one or more weeks before they can put their two feet deep into the semester. From there it is slow grind till the end  whence it becomes  another time for a flurry of activities before everyone calls it quits. The cycle goes on and on with the rhythm of life and the university facility becomes a central figure in shaping more and more of its alumna’s futures. It is one of the greatest things that happen everyday of the year in and around the world.

An Afternoon of Inspiration Inside the Corridors of the Library

I had a fantastic wrap-up of my Data Structures and Algorithm programming class late Thursday afternoon which also signified the beginning of the weekend for most of full time students like myself and who had flocked the library’s former bookstore which now serves as the conference room to pick the brains of local celebrities who were on campus to share their successes and failures with the young college minds. It came as a surprise to me as it was one of the last things I had been contemplating about until I stepped into the library lobby on my way up the carrels upstairs on second floor to start up putting together the content on an argumentative essay i was  working on for a particular client on campus.

The funniest bit is that I got distracted by this new event the moment I saw a handful of new faces around ushering into the venue and quickly sought to ask what the heck the small crowds that had started to gather were all about.I told myself I would be there only a few moments before I could go back to my original plans because since I had attended one too many entrepreneurship sessions outside and within campus before I had decided in my mind I wasn’t going to waste time in this routine longer than necessary.Little did I know just how much sucked in I would become as one speaker after another arose to narrate their journey till now. They all came from the entertainment industry but that was not the only thread that ran through their veins as I learned that passion was the glue that held together their dream of making it in the showbiz industry big time.

I was immediately reeled in the session and quickly pushed my earlier plans to the back burner.I wasn’t going to ruin my afternoon  with another round of dreary period browsing through the dusty pages up in the shelves.I was going to sit back and let my feel good factor feed on the feel good stories that inspired the the ears of many a youth in the cool of the room. There in those moments I got the reason to keep on pushing my dreams, the idea to inspire this blog and, the strength to never let up the fight to become whatever I wanted to become in my own special way. There inside that room  and in among those youngsters like myself I determined to push my boundaries to never look back and to  learn to draw on the power of self motivation to accomplish the hardest of challenges that lay ahead. As I listened to the winsome words of their narratives I thought about my own struggles and my desires to finally arrive and one day become the one sharing my stories like our musician and producer  guests  did perfectly well with their life skill renditions.

Against All Odds In My Quest To Become Proficient As A Programmer

My story begins with a sweeping inner strength that constantly reminds me of my abilities to become one of the world’s greatest programmers in history.Daily I face my fears and concerns that continuously eat away at my confidence and sometimes this feeling can go on and on to the point that it becomes the only thing that matters most in my life.I would really love to be good at what I do at programming in pretty much the same vein that I would like to become a published writer. But every time I set out on conquering my fears, something in my subconscious looms awfully large to cast a long shadow of doubt in my will to succeed no matter what.

Each day, scenarios like this one play around in people’s minds  around the world and many  great stories have been written out there documenting how great ideas were put to bed simply as a result of great minds becoming hopelessly dejected. But it is only human to feel dejected and despondent particularly if after every effort put forth yields no significant result at least  in the victim’s mind. What the victim never learns,of course,is that  the brain is unusually unreceptive to new ideas and challenges. It is so stubbornly rigid that it likes to stay that way until the bearer of it decides he will from now on not allow to be led by it anymore.

This calls for extreme persistence and discipline to align the brain to maximize its potential and capacity by rigorously engaging it to take advantage of challenges that come by in life.Personally, this has been my desire as I know that deep within the subconscious lies some of the greatest treasures of my talent providing I stick around for as  long as necessary. As an example,I remember very well from experience  my childhood days when I was in the seventh grade and hardly knew how to solve my arithmetic problems until I had to be literally compelled by my class teacher to learn math. It didn’t take long before I topped the whole class not only in math but also in various other related or unrelated subjects altogether. This one discipline served as a composite skill set in all the other areas I had not as much as performed better like I eventually did once I took my math problem solving seriously.

Using the same tactics of evading the worst from my mathematics  teacher,I bet I can apply this same principle in almost all aspects of my life by learning to see the bad consequences of not performing well in my areas of interest. For this reason,I am determined to succeed at my pet interests for better or for worse. As a starter,I have become ruthless with myself on the number of hours I spent in bed by finding creative ways of creating more time to practice.Did I say practice….yes,practice-for this is what makes the  difference between getting a pat on the back and a slap in the face.It is what distinguishes between getting honored and feeling dishonored. All of it comes down to just this:practice, practice and practice some more.

In my quest to become the best programmer and developer in the world,I have moved ahead to register with online codecademy site that is famous for its simplistic illustrations and teaching styles,I have gone ahead and downloaded programming eBooks and video tutorials from some of the best known programming gurus and authors around the world.I therefore feel confident that I have all the resources needed to become a pro at my work. This combined with the amount of times I have set aside for my exercises and practice should all lead me in the right direction providing I don’t suffer paranoia along the way.

One of my specific challenges in programming is the way things work in abstract rather than in concretion.I find this rather strange for children are only the ones known to think in concrete black and white perspective.I guess my childhood thinking in programming hasn’t developed to its maximum yet.Now and again, though, I come across sites that want concrete demonstration of skills by way of outlining them in portfolios or linking readers to online pages containing previous work reflecting these skills and am like,I should as well give it a shot once and for all if I intend to be seen as serious bidder of the jobs out there demanding these useful skills.

So having made all these confessions and seen how determined I am to push on with my fight of becoming the best programmer and developer in the world,I think I have in one way or another inspired you to not let go of that big dream you cherish so much.If you ever did the mistake of giving up,you’ll be denying yourself and others an opportunity to view the world through your imagination and creative talent. So on your mark, set ready go!
